Welcome Gina – Speech Language Pathologist
Gina graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Psychology, before receiving both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (S-LP) from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Since completing her education, she has practiced as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Labrador-Grenfell Health and Western Health, focusing on early intervention (children birth through age five) with both health authorities. She also provided private practice services to school-aged children while working within healthcare. Gina has a special interest in early language stimulation, as well as the treatment of paediatric speech sound disorders. She has extensive experience in the fields of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders and autism spectrum disorder.
Gina is certified and in good standing with Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC), as well as registered and in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Healthcare Professionals (NLCHP). She is a proud member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NLASLPA) and the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Newfoundland and Labrador (CASLP-NL). Gina is a member of The Hanen Centre®, and continues to complete continuing education via this organization and others.
Gina is from Port au Choix, Newfoundland and Labrador, and is excited to have returned to the province’s west coast!
