About Cathy Wheeler-Walsh
Social Worker
Cathy Wheeler-Walsh graduated from Memorial University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Social Work and from the University of Toronto in 2007 with a Master of Social Work (with a specialization in Mental Health & Health; collaborative program in Addiction Studies). She is a skilled clinician with over 15 years of experience working with youth, adults, individuals, couples, groups and families in the areas of mental health and addictions. She has experience providing counselling services for a variety of issues including substance abuse and addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, grief & loss, stress management, trauma, self-esteem and relationships. Cathy uses best-practice interventions to provide a service that meets the need of the client. Skilled in trauma informed practice, Cathy has also received additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and utilizes solution focused, client-centered approaches
