Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Tracey Wentzell, MDCM/MBA, FRCSC, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon. She is originally from Portland Creek, NL and attended Holy Cross School in Daniel’s Harbour. She finished high school on a full scholarship at Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific on Vancouver Island, BC in 1996. She then attended Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB and graduated with First class Honours and Distinction with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry in 1999. Next she attended McGill University in Montreal for studies in a combined program of Medicine and Business, and in 2004 was awarded an MDCM/MBA. Residency training brought her back to the east coast and in Halifax, NS she completed residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. She went on to do a fellowship with sub – specialty training in Sports Medicine under the tutelage of Dr. Doug LeGay in Dartmouth, NS; and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2010. She then returned home to Western Newfoundland and commenced practice in Corner Brook.

She enjoys running, travelling, NFL football, and outdoor activity such as snowmobiling, skiing and boating.
