About Dr. Shanda Slipp

Family Physician

Dr. Shanda Slipp is a Family Physician originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick.  After attending the University of New Brunswick for her undergraduate degree, she completed her medical degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, graduating in 2007.  She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Memorial, spending time all over the province from 2007-2009.  After finishing her training, she worked in Twillingate for 1 year.  In 2010, she moved with her husband to Calgary, AB to join the faculty at the University of Calgary, where she worked for 3 years in the family medicine residency program, and in a busy academic, urban family practice.  She then worked for 1 year in Kingston, ON with Queens University, again teaching medical students and residents, and practicing in downtown Kingston.  She happily moved back to Newfoundland in fall 2015 with her husband and 2 young daughters, Alice & Evelyn.
